Potluck

Vegan Potluck and Q & A with Vegetarian Nutritionist Ali Bell

Date: Saturday, May 9th, 2009

Topic: “Everything you always wanted to know about vegetarian nutrition but were afraid to ask!”

Some focus areas will include: soy - good or bad and how much, dairy - health impacts including osteoporosis risk, vegetarian diets and children, and others. Bring your questions!

Admission to the potluck is free as usual. Just bring one vegan dish to share (no meat, eggs, or dairy products) and your own place setting (plate, cup, cutlery, napkins). The more the merrier! Bring your friends! NOTE: If you would like to skip the potluck but catch the speaker, feel free to pop in around 7:15.

T.O.F.U. Tour - Live Music Party

T.O.F.U Magazine, a Canadian magazine which focuses on issues related to being vegan, is hitting the road! Looking to celebrate veganism and other positive actions, the tour will showcase local artists and others who are working hard to create positive change.

Admission is free. There will be a “Pay What You Can” collection to help cover the tour costs.

Annual Regina Vegetarian Society memberships will be on sale at both of these events for a cost of $25 for anyone wishing to join or renew their membership for the 2009 / 2010 season.
